Friday Apéros

Members and guests sharing their favorite dishes and bottles of wine in an informal potluck.

The French Apéros (the new name for soirées) are AFN members’ favorite event. Each member or guest brings a favorite dish and a bottle of wine to share in an informal potluck.

The events are free for AFN members and only $5 for each of their guests. They are typically held at AFN's offices, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the last Friday of most month.

In addition to enjoying an entertaining and informative evening, historians, artists, wine experts, distinguished foreign guests, and a variety of other fascinating people may offer a short program at these events.

Past presenters include The Nashville Symphony's Giancarlo Guerrero, Musica’s sculptor Alan LeQuire, the owner of Little Gourmand and delightful culinarian Guenièvre Milliner, and Michael Shane Neal, the portrait artist who painted the US Ambassador to France Charles Rivkin.
