The Cercle de Lecture meets once each month to discuss a French book.  Various types of books are selected, including mysteries, novels, and autobiographies.  Discussion is entirely in French.  Any interested member is welcome to attend, whether or not s/he has read the assigned book of the month. See the Calendar of Events for the next scheduled meeting.  For more information, please call 615.269.4590 or send a message to information@afnashville.org.

Our next book is La petite Chartreuse, de Pierre Péju. Meeting February 17, 2012. Click here for details.

For future book club meetings (held approximately monthly, exact dates not yet set), we will read the following books, in this order:

1.       Nini patt-en-l’air, de Françoise Dorin (March, 2012)

2.       Pars vite et reviens tard, de Fred Vargas (April, 2012)

3.       Trois femmes puissantes, de Marie NDiaye (May,  2012)

Try us! All are welcome to attend the book group discussions, whether you have read the book or not.  After we have finished this set of books, we will take orders for the next 4-6 books, and you will have the opportunity to purchase the set of books through Alliance Française. Stay tuned!
