The Cercle de Lecture meets once each month to discuss a French book.  Various types of books are selected, including mysteries, novels, and autobiographies.  Discussion is entirely in French.  Any interested member is welcome to attend, whether or not s/he has read the assigned book of the month. See the Calendar of Events for the next scheduled meeting.  For more information, please call 615.269.4590 or send a message to information@afnashville.org.

For our next two book club meetings (held approximately monthly), we will read the following books, which are part of the previous book set:

1.       Pars vite et reviens tard, de Fred Vargas (May 18, 2012)

2.       Trois femmes puissantes, de Marie NDiaye (June,  2012)

Starting in July, we will read the following books (exact dates not yet decided):

Toutes ces choses qu'on ne s'est pas dites, de Marc Levy

Chaleur du sang, de Irene Nemirovsky

Nana, de Zola

Kiffe Kiffe demain, de Faiza Guene

La haine de la famille, de Catherine Cusset

Debout les morts, de Fred Vargas

Try us! All are welcome to attend the book group discussions, whether you have read the book or not. If you cannot get the book, we have a copy of each of these that can be lent out. Please contact us if you have any questions (see contact information above).
