State Sen. Douglas Henry

The Alliance Française de Nashville, Sister Cities of Nashville, and the Vanderbilt Department of French and Italian will host a special reception honoring Senator Douglas Henry on Thursday, April 8, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Cohen Memorial Hall on the Peabody Campus of Vanderbilt University.
 
Newly installed Consul General of France in Atlanta, Pascal Le Deunff, will join us in honoring Senator Henry for his support of and contribution to international relations and foreign language learning in Middle Tennessee. 

The event is free and open to current members of the Alliance Française and Sister Cities.  All members will receive an e-invitation, and RSVP's will be required.  Please double check to make sure your membership is current!

Deauville Teaching Internship.  Teach English to French students and submerge yourself in French culture while living in the coastal town of Deauville, the Hollywood of France.  The application deadline was February 3, 2010.  Please click here to view more information.

Nina Walls Scholarship.  This scholarship, which is made possible by the Alliance Française Cultural & Educational Fund, Inc. enables recipients to attend a month-long summer study session at the Alliance Française de Lyon, in Lyon, France, and to live with a French family there.  The application deadline was February 20, 2010.  Please click here to view more information.

Your name must appear on the current membership list.  The guard will direct you to the clubhouse at 150 Valley Forge.  Adult (21+) guests only.  Please bring your favorite dish and wine to share.  Please come early to help our hosts and volunteers with the set-up or stay a few minutes to help them to tidy up afterwards.
